I always encourage bridal photos if it is in your budget because while I will always do my best to take as many solo photos of the bride in her dress as I can during a wedding, it can never be as detailed and as many as a photo session dedicated to the bride. I have heard some brides say "oh I don't need any photos of me alone" -- I disagree! You only wear this dress once ladies! Show it off!
Michele and Brian got married in February and it was a very foggy day in the hill country. If you are familiar with the weather out here sometimes we get this fog so thick I cant even see out of my windows. This day was like that. Michele told me after she got her photos back that she was so scared about how they were going to turn out because of the weather that day and that she LOVES her photos and that I exceeded all their expectations. It is my job to be able to shoot in any condition and weddings are rain or shine... I always do my best! :)
Chapel Dulcinea is one of my favorite small venues out here in the Texas Hill Country. Its in Driftwood, TX right outside of Austin. If you are having your wedding at Chapel Dulcinea please contact me! Go HERE to see Michele and Brian's Engagement session at Butler Park in Austin.
I was contacted by Michele to photograph her and fiance's wedding and engagement session. They are a couple from Austin and were having their wedding at Chapel Dulcinea, in Driftwood, right outside of Austin in February. I called her back immediately because 1 LOVE the small weddings at Chapel Dulcinea. It might be my favorite venue in the Austin area for small weddings and elopements. They only had a little over 2 months to do the engagement photos and everyone has a full schedule during December, plus we had a lot of rainy days, so we took the photos as soon as we could. It ended up being a pretty cold and overcast day just a couple days after Christmas, but since it was winter in the hill country we just went with it. At least it wasn't raining! The location is Butler Park right outside of Austin, TX ... with a great city skyline backdrop.
I did this wedding in 2015 but I am a really bad blogger. I have SO MANY beautiful weddings I am going to be showcasing here in the next few months. Dustin and Kyle's wedding was a joy to photograph. These men showed each other so much love and adoration that day... you can just see it pouring from their photos. This is happiness y'all!
Lisa and Thad's wedding was so beautiful and it was the first time I ever took photos in a big Cathedral like the one they used, The Chapel of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas!
After the Ceremony the reception was held at Pearl Stables -- Everything was so pretty and this wedding was so fun to photograph for me and my assistant! 12 hours start to finish from hair and make up at Aveda, to the full mass ceremony at the church, through the reception with dinner and dancing...the grand march and Aggie Fight song, all the way to the carriage ride back to their hotel ( we followed in the car as requested by Mom and Dad)
I am so lucky to be able to capture all these happy moments!
I loved the photos from this session. I love Fall, I love pumpkins! I took Diane's sister's wedding photos in 2013 so you know I was happy to have this family again. It really is an honor to take photos for multiple people in one family. Be on the lookout for the blog featuring their awesome fall/Harry Potter themed wedding!
Rebecca and John's intimate wedding at Messina Hof Winery was over a year ago and I have been meaning to post a lot of stuff from last year! I am just now updating my blog... and this wedding was so beautiful.. intimate and perfect ( in my opinion... I LOVE small weddings) !! The ceremony took place in the wine cellar.. then the room was reworked to have an intimate dinner with their closest family and friends.
Plus there was cookies and milk --- THE BEST.
We met Megan and John and I immediately liked them... we are a bit geeky ourselves so I thought we were a great fit and I couldn't wait to shoot their wedding in the Spring.
It was so unique! Unique enough to land them in Offbeat Bride... which I am ecstatic about! I had so much fun with them! Here are some photos from the day!
Venue: Ella's Garden in Tomball, TX
Since I have been using PASS for my weddings I have also been active in the PASS facebook groups. I decided to share my PASS gallery of this fabulous wedding I did in Fayetteville, TX and Heather of Heather Renee Celebrations saw it and wanted my pictures on her wedding blog! So I said YES, of course! I haven't had much time to blog lately because I am very busy with family photos and weddings... its Autumn.. .the BUSIEST time of year! I will eventually get all caught up on blogging these wonderful sessions I have been having but for now please go check out Heather Renee's blog!
here is a little peek of what's inside.. this wedding was gorgeous!
I was so happy to hear from this couple when they contacted me about their vintage themed wedding with a cookies and milk reception... how cute is that? I was referred to them by some wonderful previous clients that I love. The wedding took place at their church in the Woodlands, Tx and the small reception was held outside on the grounds. It was really pretty there and the decorations were out of this world cute and amazing. All the props we rented from Rent some Vintage which has some really nice props and furniture to use at your wedding, event or photo session.
This wedding had so many details and we took some of the most lovely photos we have ever taken. Kelbye and James were a dream couple to work with and they are so cute together, don't you think? I see a lifetime of happiness for them!
Warning.. This post is photo heavy! :)
