I was contacted by Michele to photograph her and fiance's wedding and engagement session. They are a couple from Austin and were having their wedding at Chapel Dulcinea, in Driftwood, right outside of Austin in February. I called her back immediately because 1 LOVE the small weddings at Chapel Dulcinea. It might be my favorite venue in the Austin area for small weddings and elopements. They only had a little over 2 months to do the engagement photos and everyone has a full schedule during December, plus we had a lot of rainy days, so we took the photos as soon as we could. It ended up being a pretty cold and overcast day just a couple days after Christmas, but since it was winter in the hill country we just went with it. At least it wasn't raining! The location is Butler Park right outside of Austin, TX ... with a great city skyline backdrop.
I loved the photos from this session. I love Fall, I love pumpkins! I took Diane's sister's wedding photos in 2013 so you know I was happy to have this family again. It really is an honor to take photos for multiple people in one family. Be on the lookout for the blog featuring their awesome fall/Harry Potter themed wedding!
This was the most exciting session I have EVER had.... so backstory... Key contacts me about having her Maternity photos done, we set a date and everything. A couple days later Aaron gives me a call and says he wants to propose to Key during the photo shoot and MARRY HER RIGHT THERE because they had talked and they had resolved that a court house wedding would be all they could do, and they weren't real excited about that prospect. *jaw drop* I didn't know what to say because no one has ever proposed during a session with me much less get married right there. He had it all planned out, I picked the location that would work and keep Key happy because it was good for her Maternity photos too.. we chatted a little back and forth about what kind of style she wanted and she really liked the vintage, flower crown etc.. which works perfectly for getting married too.. hehe
So on the day of the session we started out just normally and I had then do a few poses and then he drops to one knee and proposes.. she was so happy.. I cried a little, it was so sweet.... then, family members start driving up.. He tells her they will be married there at the spot if she wants to and she is just floored, crying tears of joy! They had a minister and just a handful of family but it was the sweetest thing I have ever witnessed!
Inspired by another couple's shoot I did back in November, this couple wanted the same dreamy lovey look.. I love how dreamy this location is.. and its just a park!
My green chair also makes another appearance.. she's gonna be famous one day.
I am so behind on blogging but I have taken some absolutely gorgeous photos this fall season and I have weddings to show off as well. Fall is the busiest and best time to take photos in my opinion. I just love the sunlight we get in the fall/wintertime.
This couple was amazing in every way.. they went along with my ideas and were super easy to work with and they are gorgeous ladies so they made my job so easy.. and it was a gorgeous day.. so.. all around one of my favorite sessions!
Amy and Patrick met up with Brenlee and I on Saturday to take their engagement photos.. it had been cloudy and kinda yucky out all day but by the time we started shooting the clouds cleared up a little bit and the sun started peeking out! First we took some photos at the fire station where Patrick is stationed then we went over to the golf course where their wedding reception will be held in October. I can't wait for their wedding, I know it will be fun and I will get to see some of my previous wedding clients because they are in the wedding party! I love it and I am so honored when I am referred to other couples. It makes me happy beyond words.
We took A LOT of photos... there are some that I didn't include because I think they may want to save them for their "save the date" cards. Here are a bunch that I love... it was hard to only pick a few!
Woah! Where did the last few months go!? It is already February and I am still not finished with my new site or my new branding but I wanted to post the collage of some favorite photos of 2012. I am so blessed to have great clients and I know that 2013 still has a lot in store for me. Changing our name has been a very large endeavor but its something I have wanted to do for a couple of years and I know it will pay off!
Last weekend Brenlee and I had the pleasure of taking engagement photos for Pao and her fiance Jason. We went to Downtown Houston and I think we had a lot of fun. =) Pao and Jason didn't take themselves too seriously and that really made our jobs so much easier! I love how they came out! Thank you guys! See you June 9th!
Here are a few of my favorite photos!
Welcome to my new blog! Here I plan to showcase all my fabulous weddings and other photography that I get to do. I am thankful every day that this is really my job because I enjoy it so much! I want to thank you, my previous and future clients, for making me so happy!
Here is a photo from an E session I finished up today!
